Innocent Superfoods

By Piers Fawkes on July 12, 2007

Innocent, the celebrated Smoothie company, has launched a new range called Superfoods which use recipes that are “super rich” in naturally functional foods. New products include a natural slow-release energy drink that contains guavas, mangoes and goji berries (full ingredients transparently provided here). Another product that comes in a carton provides a natural detox with pomegranites, blueberries and acai. The site says:

The observant amongst you will notice that they have posh gold labels. That’s because they’re the healthiest recipes we could possibly come up with. Of course, if we were a bit lazier we could have added synthetic vitamins, but we figure that if you get out of bed early and look hard enough, you’ll find that Nature has already done most of the work.

So all we have to do is find ingredients that are rich in tasty natural nutrients, blend them into an appealingly tasty recipe and then pop them into a bottle. Please enjoy, be healthy and stay golden.
