Who’s the most wired of them all?

Probably the 20 folks who pony up for the limited edition +336+ SMS mirror (cost: $10,000). This latest mashup of technology and design is a mirror that streams luminous text sent via SMS across the glass. It reminds us of ambient devices like the Orb, which crafting digital interfaces out of everyday objects. This one goes a step further by adding technology to an already functional product, creating a dual-use design.

While the SMS mirror is prohibitively expensive right now, we expect these hybrid concepts will filter into mass design before long. Then you can become a digital Narcissus as “U R GR8T XOXO…” scrolls across your face.
