German Rail Service Deutsche Bahn has teamed up with Vodafone for the development of a new ticketing solution. They are currently testing a service called Touch and Travel in Berlin, Potsdam and Hannover. The test is carried out by around 200 people in these regions. Touch and Travel works with an RFID enabled Motorola Handset which is provided for free to testers. Apparently it seems that the test-users still have to carry a printed copy of their ticket.
