gary-comer-youth-center.jpgChicago Magazine has just compiled a list of what they believe to be the top ten modern architectural masterpieces in the Windy City – symbolizing the revival of Chicago’s  legacy as being the epicenter of architecture.

Gary Comer Youth Center (2006)
State Street Village (2003)
Jay Pritzker Music Pavilion (2004)
The Contemporaine (2004)
Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies (late 2007)
Pritkzker House (2007)
Republic Window & Door (now shared with Wrigley Company) (1998)
Sofitel Chicago Water Tower (2002)
Ubs Tower (2001)
Shingle House (2006)

They also polled the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects to see which buildings they thought ranked the highest.  Interesting to see where the two contingents disagreed.
