Phaeno Wolfsburg

By Matthias Weber on August 2, 2007

Stunning architecture by Zaha Hadid covers an experimental hub: Phaeno, Germany’s biggest science center which makes you experience all about science and technology. Since 2005 visitors can find out all about the world of natural phenomenas at 250 interactive experiment stations on more than 9.000 sqm. The works have been commissioned and partly developed by Joe Ansel who also contributed to San Francisco’s Exploratorium. Phaeno is a playful experiment. There are nine fields: Life, Light and Seeing, Motion, Wind and Weather, Micro and Macro, Energy, Matter, Information. Phaeno was made possible with a Public Private Partnership between the city of Wolfsburg and different big German companies.
