I’m Not a Plastic Bag

by Erin Middleton

not-a-plastic-bag.JPGSometimes your efforts to help the Earth or conserve energy aren’t noticed by others for what they are. Anya Hindmarch has taken care of this problem with fashion, think of it as Trader Joe’s meets Louis Vuitton. The bags are a re-usable alternative to the plastic bags supermarkets want to double-up on for your safety and convenience. Hindmarch’s FAQ page says more:

To date this project has raised a great deal of awareness over the wasted use of plastic bags around the world. It has also contributed to Sainsbury’s (UK) banning plastic bags from their stores on two days and giving away free bags for life (reusable bags) to their customers.

Interested in buying one? Get yourself to eBay and expect to pay between $600-$1000. Not only did Hindmarch raise global awareness for re-usable bags, she increased the price to “be seen as green.”
