by Jeff Squires

The installation is an electronic flowerbed composed of compact fluorescent light bulbs upon an island of sustainable wood. The idea of the project was to demystify many of the pre-conceived notions about cfls and introduce the public to a new type of cfl that can be dimmed just like regular incandescent bulbs - a recent innovation and dominant reason many have been weary about switching over to the funny looking bulbs.
