BBC Available At Every WiFi You’d Normally Have To Grudgingly Pay For

20 Pounds For Half An Hour? What A Rip-Off!If you go to one of The Cloud’s 7,500 hotspots in the UK, the BBC will be available for free – thanks to a deal they’ve agreed. Eventually folk will be able to download shows on their mobile devices at these spots.

The thing is, don’t we all just want free WiFi access. Couldn’t a corporation like the BBC that’s set up to serve the public create a nationwide WiFi grid instead of promoting the services of a WiFi company?

They’re also developing this proprietary iPlayer thing in bloody Flash to ensure copyright control etc – another short-termist approach by the Beeb.
