Gamer’s Vest Gives Players a Real Dose of the Action

by Christine Huang

picture-1.pngOne highlight of the E for All Expo that ended this past Sunday was this gamer’s vest designed by Doctor Mark Ombrellaro. With some creative tinkering, he turned a medical force feedback vest designed for medical inspections of elderly patients and prisoners into a sensation-producing accesory for players looking for a more realistic gaming experience. The vest is designed to release pneumatic thumps to the wearer’s torso when the player is hit or shot, making it an ideal add-on to racing and battle games. TN Games  plans on launching their version of the vest (the “3rd Space Gaming Vest”) in November priced at $189, with a Call of Duty game thrown in.
