levelHead: A Lot More Fun Than a Rubix Cube

LevelHead is a neat memory game designed by Julian Oliver that requires the player to virtually move a character through a series of rooms that appear “inside” a cube by manipulating it through tilting and flipping. It uses one webcam (an EyeToy) to capture the image on the box and a screen to present the visual result. The game rules are simple: the player must figure out how to move his character from room to room (or, from one face of the cube to the next) in two minutes. Eventually, the game will involve several cubes that the character can travel between via connected doors.

But words don’t really do the game justice. You really have to watch the video below to make sense of Oliver’s idea and the unique gameplay experience that results.
