Recently, Ticket-Text joined Tickets.com (with their promotional Tickets@Phone service for Washington Nationals games in May) in the movement towards mobile ticketing. Ticket-Text is a Europe-based service that allows you to forgo the paper ticket mess for digital ones delivered right to your phone. Order your concert, theater, and sports events tickets online, select when you want them delivered and they’ll arrive as a text message immediately or two days prior to the event. If you happen to delete the message or lose your mobile device, you can log into Ticket-Text and have the barcode reissued (no penalty fees or surly operators to deal with). Though still in its infancy, the site also features social networking, with chat and interactive events calendars. Ticket-Text doesn’t currently offer its ticketing service for US events, but we’re sure it’s only a matter of time.

“paper ticket mess”? Not sure what that is…and i wonder, what does more to the enviornment: the single ticket, or the energy needed to keep your phone charged?
neat trick…just seems more like gadget masterbation to me.
