So hands up here who thinks it’s their job to change the world? When I started to think about this presentation for the Future Trends 07 presentation a few weeks ago I dug up the title for the deck and I thought to myself ‘bloody hell, I proposed that’… because when I first look at the title I feel like it’s not my place to make such grand statements - but then I look at it again, I think to myself, ‘yeah - that’s what I want to do’. I run PSFK in all its manifestations to make things better.
This presentation reflects this reaction to a fundamental shift in consumer attitude towards their consumption.
Enjoy, leave comments and help me evolve the message. And for a PDF of this document - email piers at psfk.com

Really enjoyed this - especially that first part about all the ways you inspire change and betterment. Thought it was strong, direct, and sensitive. In fact, I think I link PSFK with inspiration more than any other idea (or benefit). Even more than the inspiration leaders of the East Compton Clovers (yes, a Bring It On reference). The title echoes this sentiment, which I think a lot of us are feeling as people (in work and social and consumer lives): http://www.gapingvoid.com/Moveable_Type/archives/004170.html Also, a lot of new and interesting ideas in the craft section for me as well as in pro-service, particularly the fractional ownership example. Thanks.

i like your presentation! the idea of doing and creating is at the base of people taking control of their lives and how it plays forward, at least a few steps into the world. once you feel the goodness in doing what is true and enjoyable, i think everything else follows on the micro and macro….right on psfk!
