Me-TV

By Piers Fawkes on November 27, 2007

There’s not much info on this project yet but the video on the holding page of German Make.TV suggests that they’re going to offer a service that lets the user create their own Me-TV anytime, anyplace. This idea follows other personal broadcasting services like Justin.TV. The website reads:

make.tv is a production platform for interactive live TV. We make it possible for you to create your own program and to broadcast it live. And all you need is your computer, your internet browser, and a camera – or, at least, a webcam.

We’ve developed a virtual TV studio that you can simply open in your browser – no installation necessary. On the screenshot you’ll get the full overview of all the functions. You can prepare three scenes and set your camera up with a variety of graphical elements. Also on board: a mixer console, a library to organize all the graphical elements, animation and/or photos you want to use in your show, etc., etc., etc.

A hip live show works even better with a hip production team – that’s why you can invite your friends into the studio to help with the production. Of course, each team player – no matter where they are – can set up a camera in the studio. There is even an intercom, so that you can quickly communicate with your team during the show without the audience listening in.
