The Vertical Limit of Champagne and Design

The Vertical Limit of Champagne and Design

By Orli Sharaby on November 1, 2007

For those in the market for luxury, it doesn’t get much more extravagant than the latest collaboration between Veuve Clicquot and Porsche Design Studio. The former is one of the world’s most exclusive champagne producers, and the latter, a design company with unmatched pedigree.

They’ve come together to create Vertical Limit, the ultimate wine fridge stocked with the ultimate bubbly (or to use a fancy word we learned today: It’s the ultimate “oenothèque.”) Twelve bottles of vintage Veuve Clicquot are cradled in 12 temperature-controlled, individually lighted shelves. Only fifteen such fridges have been made, making owning one, if you can get your hands on it, even more prestigious.
