Unilever’s Lynx Deodorant (the UK version of Axe) has a new scent that sounds good enough to eat—and that’s the whole idea. Concocted from chocolate, frozen ginger, coriander, sage, black basil, pear sorbet and whipped cream, Dark Temptation is supposed to turn on women’s taste buds, making men into man candy.
Culinary scents are not new. Fresh’s line could sit on your spice rack, and Demeter has some like Chocolate Covered Cherries and Cotton Candy—but those are for ladies. As Mad Comment’s Nikki Preston points out, this confection of a body spray probably smells awfully feminine. Doesn’t the wearer need to like the scent above anyone else? Perhaps it should be marketed to women instead.
If you’ve whiffed this new scent, tell us what you think. Is it masculine? Pheromones in a bottle? Or would you rather have your cake, with a side of Old Spice?

I wouldn’t say it smells like chocolate, but it is good.

i’m a firm believer in the idea that to attract women, you must smell attractive to them. half the aftershaves just put them off! so what do you make next? chocolate deodorant! genius!

hi i bought this from just wathcing the add, all girls love chocolate thats true but i only used it once, its not manly in any way it has a very strong smell of coconut kind of like sun cream nice on girls ya , when my girl first smelt it in my bedroom she said what is that “is that perfume” says it all love the advert though very funny

i bought this stuff and i showed it to my friends and i lost the can ….. they took it cause it smelled that great and as a dude i advice that you do buy it but wear it and dont show ppls the can lol

My brother bought it and no offense to anyone but it says ‘as irresistable as chocolate’ when i think its meant to say ‘as foul-smelling as really off chocolate in a rotting garbage bin coated in dog poo’. yeah, it smells THAT BAD. don’t you guys have any sense of SMELL???!!! i mean, no girl in her right mind would go near that.
