More Socially Conscious Retail

Interwoven Threads is a new company hoping to create a brand new business model for fashion. Started in Kansas City by Andy Woolard, the company sells nicely designed organic cotton t-shirts for $25 a pop, and for every shirt that’s purchased, a duplicate is donated to reStart, a Kansas City-based homeless-advocacy organization. At the moment there are only three styles to choose from, all in shades of brown and aqua, all emblazoned with whimsical, artsy scrawl.

As straightforward and breezy is their selection of t-shirts, so their philosophy is simple and honorable:

Interwoven Threads is a positive alternative to the way people traditionally buy products. Currently, Interwoven Threads is working to put quality shirts on the backs of people who truly need to be clothed.
