The team over at Egg Strategy highlight a ‘personal branded’ site called MaybeMike where a guy in Boulder created a site to find a date. After 2 weeks he had to close the site after getting TV coverage, 5000+ web site visits, 250+ serious “applications”, Hundreds of emails and a hand full of dates. The Egg team says something about personal branding which reminds us of ‘red coating‘:

Technology is allowing us to broadcast our personal brand with broad reaching media in which we can compose our message and present it succinctly, visually, and universally. Sites like My Space, Linked In, and let8217s face it Match.com are simply outlets for us to broadcast our personal brand.
