Rudy Guliani’s SNS Creatively Brings Together His Supporters
Last week, Presidential hopeful Rudy Guliani launched Team Rudy, an impressive social networking site that offers more than a virtual community for his supporters. The site includes a game system in which Rudy supporters can earn “Rudy Points” for meeting certain goals, e.g.writing letters to the site’s editor, recruiting others to join the network, making donations, or calling radio shows to show support for Rudy. These Rudy Points can then be redeemed for goodies like bumper stickers and other schwag. Everything about the site comes back to supporting Guliani’s campaign, and it feels a little over the top, but those who support the New Yorker, from the web-savvy to the web-phobic, are sure to find the site engaging and useful.
