Storytelling 2.0

HarrisDon’t get us wrong – we love the slideshow feature in iPhoto. It’s just that our friends grow a tad bored with the “Ken Burns Effect” after a few minutes. But weave together a well-organized storyline, simple yet remarkable content and gorgeous photography, you might come close to Jonathan Harris’ interactive narrative.

A photo taken at least every five minutes is the meat of his week-long traditional Alaskan whale hunting expedition. Then you can format the story chronologically, by image and level of excitement. Or peruse through by searching within dozens of tags and customizable constraints – like finding photos matching a character or situation with boats, or even blood.

As BuzzMachine suggests, its an incredible way to tell a story…that is, if you don’t start copying Harris’ idea with content of your Uncle Ernests 85th birthday party.
