Mark Lives In Ikea

Mark Lives In Ikea

By Dave Pinter on January 8, 2008

We’ve written about Ikea before opening up it’s store for folks to spend the night in Norway. But leave it to a desperate New Yorker to raise the bar and actually move in to the Paramus NJ store for a week. Mark Malkoff needed to vacate his apartment for fumigation for seven days. He couldn’t find a place to crash in any of his friends small studio apartments or afford a week of staying in a hotel.

Mark got in contact with Ikea and asked if he could stay in the store in return for him documenting his experience on film. He had low expectations they’d actually say yes, but in fact they agreed. Mark moved in yesterday.

You can check in on Mark all week on the web at his mini site called Mark Lives in Ikea. He’s posting both video and photos. Good luck Mark, we start losing our sanity there after the first hour of shopping.
