		<description>I agree with Matthias re kanji, but I don&#039;t know that they don&#039;t use katakana also which is &#039;phonetic&#039; like english. Either way I cannot imagine writing a novel on the phone keyboard.

I do however read English novels on my very middle of the road cell phone. The screen is large enough that it is no impediment, and the phone is small enough that I carry it everywhere. Now if I get some downtime I can just flip out a book. I get free books prepackaged from http://www.booksinmyphone.com I can install direct to the phone from the mobile version of their site.</description>

		<description>One more reason why both writing and reading mobile phone novels is so succesful in Japan is Japanese Language. Japanese with its chinese kanji box-letters is capable of transporting way more information than languages with a letterset on a small screen.</description>
