If Pottery Barn is selling aluminum reusable water bottles at the entrances of their stores, does that mean that concern for water bottle waste has finally reached the mainstream? The Pottery Barn on Broadway at Houston in NYC sells three designs. The sign says:
An untold amount of disposable cups and plastic lids are used and discarded everyday. Contribute to a healthy environment by choosing a reusable travel mug, drink bottle, or lunch bag.

I hear yah Suz, but I am always skeptical when a big multi-national corporation claims to be doing good, but charges $20 for us to pitch in.

My wife purchased six of these bottles with the idea of pitching in environmentally. After one week of use we discovered the bottles emit a foul smell if water is left in them more than 24 hours, even in non-extreme conditions.
