Radiohead’s Scotch Mist

by Piers Fawkes

While some of you were lying unconscious in Trafalgar Square on New Year’s Eve awaiting the night bus, some of us PSFKers were mildly merry and sat at home at midnight with child in arms watching on Current TV the premiere of Radiohead’s Scotch Mist - a simple, low-budget film of the band performing their In Rainbows album in their recording studios. In an era when we simply ignore music videos, it was fascinating to find ourselves glued to a TV watching a band perform their well-received and for-a-while-pay-what-you-want album.

It’s refreshing to see how the lack of record label has freed a band to do whatever they like - often allowing them to do what their fans really like.In Rainbows On Amazon
