Bridget Jones’s Greenery

by Joel Horowitz

ecoageBritish actor, Colin Firth – most celebrated for his role in Bridget Jones’s Diaryhas opened up a very eco-friendly store called Eco-Age in London’s Chiswick neighborhood. He and his wife Livia Guiggioli along with two partners, gut-rehabbed the entire building and storefront, replacing flooring, counters & walls with recycled and sustainable materials. They’ll also become completely self-powered next month once their roof-mounted solar-panels kick in.

Three floors include children’s toys (like stuffed animals made from linen pulp and filled with wood shavings), energy-saving gizmos, ecological books, and houseware and furniture made from recycled and salvaged materials.
