PSFK Conference New York Speaker Josh Spear

Josh Spear is a brand strategist, trend-spotter, blogger, culturepreneur… the list goes on. His unique perspective on digital culture and the changing landscape of media has helped establish him as one-to-watch among his peers, and having already shared his insights with brands like Pepsi, Google, and Virgin, Josh is sure to see his list of onlookers grow. As a panelist at PSFK Conference New York, Josh will be battling it out in a “new guns” vs “marketing gurus” debate on how social media will change in 2008. We picked his brain a bit in anticipation of the upcoming showdown:

First, who are you and what do you do?

I’m Josh. I publish a site full of things my global team thinks is interesting and like at JoshSpear.com. I plan and strategize world domination for my clients with a team of Born Digital’s in NYC and London through a company we call Undercurrent. We help through the usage of a patent pending system to create remarkable ideas, the rest is confidential.

You’ll be speaking on our Social Media panel - can you sum up your views on how social media will change in 2008 and how brands can leverage this digital phenomenon in the most rewarding way?
