Olinda : Social Radio Concept From The BBC
BBC Audio & Music interactive have developed a prototype radio with DAB and WiFi which allows social listening, an article in Ariel alerts us. Users are alerted when any of their friends are listening to the radio and they have the option of tuning in to the same station. The radio knows what you and your friends are listening to, creating the space for recommendations and social networking around your radio tastes.
