PSFK Conference New York Speaker Mike Hudack

Blip.tv founder Mike Hudack will be on our Tomorrow’s TV panel at PSFK Conference New York, discussing how today’s creative content is being shaped by the technologies of tomorrow. We asked the forward-thinking entrepreneur to tell us a little about himself and where he finds inspiration.
First, who are you and what do you do?
My name’s Mike Hudack and I’m a co-founder and the CEO of blip.tv, an Internet video service that focuses on shows. I spend most of my time washing dishes in the kitchen.
You’ll be on our panel “Tomorrow’s TV”- can you provide your perspective on how digital has changed the delivery, content, sponsorship, and future of television?
That’s quite a mouthful! Digital has changed everything, and the Internet has changed almost everything. Put simply and succinctly: we used to live in an economy of scarcity. We are now enjoying an economy of plenty. This means more content, more choice, more opportunity to slice and dice audiences in ways that were never possible before, more ways for people to build meaningful content and businesses that reach people in the way they want to be reached. We’re exiting the world of studio executives and entering the world of the cloud. This is a fundamentally good thing, but as with every major change it comes with its own set of challenges.
Five sites that provide you with inspiration:

Thanks, Mike!
