We’re pleased to have Noelle Weaver, VP of Business Development at SS+K, moderate our Social Media panel at PSFK Conference New York. We asked Noelle, also a prolific blogger and e-entrepreneur, to tell us a little about herself and where she finds inspiration.
Who are you and what do you do?
Currently I’m VP of Business Development at SS+K. I have ‘grown-up’ in the world of agency new business pitching just about every category there is from beer to babies to Beano in the past 13-years. I am also an on-going contributor to AdAge’s Small Agency Diary and working on a new webzine venture called ForwardNation. Curious by nature, I’m a self-professed information + culture junkie who’s always in search of the path less traveled and the perfect glass of bourbon.
You’ll be moderating our Social Media panel - in one paragraph, can you sum up your views on how social media will change in 2008 and how brands can leverage this digital phenomenon in the most rewarding way?
Real time will become even more real. Electronic and hardware makers like Sony, Dell, Nokia are finding tools and ways to merge hardware with real time applications. While we’re seeing a backlash against sites like Twitter there will still be a group of consumers who will be attracted to this type of hyper-connectivity. To keep up with them, marketers will be forced to operate in real time to.
Five sites that provide you with inspiration:

/podcast_directory.php - Ira Glass keeps me company when I travel www.tastespotting.com - A guilty pleasure. I’m a bit of a foodie and I like looking at food porn - there’s always something here that makes me want to cook.
