An Interview with Barry McGee, Animated by Barry McGee
We like the recent two part interview with SF-based artist Barry McGee on VBS.TV’s “Art Talk!” - in it, McGee has used the dialogue between interviewer Aaron Rose and himself and tranformed it into an animated short including his own illustrations. The inimitable mixed-media artist, who is probably most well-known for his illustrations and use of found objects in his art (spray paint cans, empty liquor bottles), relivens the usual interview format by turning it into an entertaining showcase of his many talents.
