Art Hell: Tate Modern Invite Street Artists

Londonist reports that the curators at rather wonderful Tate Modern have made the tragic decision that the world hasn’t got enough of street art and are celebrating the genre a few years too late by allowing big names like Os Gemeos and Faile to paint up a 15×12 metre areas on the north side of the old power station building.

We’re sure some of you think this is going to be a great idea but we can’t think of somewhere we’d rather not see street art than a blessed brick wall at one of the world’s leading art museums. The whole thing has moved on and this feels like a retrospective rather than any celebration.
