RCRD LBL Top Ten
As some of you know, we’ve been fans of RCRD LBL before the very start but since then we’ve been biting our tongue a little. The blog meets record label has been a tad frustrating as it’s all been This is Cool! This is Cool! This is Cool! with no feeling of editorial objectivity and we’ve been responding by thinking Says Who? Says Who? Says Who? and not bothering to download unless someone on a site like Stereogum suggests it.
Anyway, RCRD LBL are making steps to guided (free) music discovery by adding features such as a top 10 based on downloads. Although we still would love a bit more objectivity in its editorial (a guest blogger maybe?) at least it’s a little direction.
