Tokyo Shows Love to Cyclists With Robotic Parking Garage

By Jason Tan on April 24, 2008

In Tokyo, someone will chase you just to return your loose change. Crime is that low here. Quite a hassle considering the obvious lack of bike parking amidst the urban density. However, this new underground robotic parking garage is a welcomed solution. It’s also another sign of Japan’s continuous expansion into robotics to compensate for an aging society that continues to see it’s population decline.

Tokyo also just recently opened up its first exclusive bike path to deal with increasing bicycle-related accidents.
