Virtual Safe

By Piers Fawkes on April 8, 2008

Springwise points us to a couple of new services that offer its clients places to store old valuable digital files. ABN AMRO is Amsterdam offers Digitale Kluis which stores a maximum of 500 MB of storage for EUR 14 per month, and is accessible to only to account holders and their authorized help. Wells Fargo will offer its vSafe which might retail for $4.95 for 1 gigabyte and $14.95 for 6 gigabytes.

As Springwise comments – free email accounts offer more space than that. We’re sure it hasn’t fully been thought through yet. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting reaction to a growing need to preserve digital valuables.
