Here’s a good Friday post - an out-take from the NY culture panel at the PSFK Conference New York 08 where Faris Yakob asks a panel what the hell are hipsters. Panel includes Doug Jaeger of thehappycorp/LVHRD, Sascha Lewis of Flavorpill, Jen Chung of Gothamist and Steve Bryant of Thrillist.

    Anyway, I have man crush on Faris which is troubling me.

    Also, I’d like to see a Charver vs Hipster debate. We need to focus on the serious issues here.

  4. Funny, these panelist’s publications are perfect examples of what defines hipster culture. They (we) are all hipsters, and yet none of them even seemed aware of it - or willing to acknowledge it.

  5. i liked the guy on the panel who was clearly a hipster try to deny he is one. that was so sad i almost cried.
