Multitouch Environment Research Barcelona points us to a lovely new touchscreen application – “Multitouch Crayon Physics”, a table which users can ‘draw’ on with their fingers, creating multi-colored, movable objects. MERB reports that an open-source beta version will be released on May 18. Watch the video below to get a sense of how it works.

  1. This is so cool! Think of all of the publicity that Microsoft Surface got and this creation didn’t make a blip on the Internet radar screen. I want to buy one for myself and my nieces and nephews…I hope it is not tens of thousands of dollars. One of the few toys I’ve seen lately without “Barbie” or “SpongeBob” branded onto it. How refreshing!
