swimmingOver the years, training has evolved as has nutritional science. But last month, 18 swimming records were broken at one meet and it’s being reported that these spectacular results were almost singularly due to swimsuit technology.

It was always thought that the less clothing the body wore, the more hydrodynamic it was. That’s just not the case anymore:

Kate Wilton oversees Speedo’s racing model. She said that compared to the suits, human skin is flawed, while Speedo’s suit helps reduce drag.

Are we getting to the point that the human body can’t be trained to be stronger without enhancement drugs? Or faster without high-tech clothing to maneuver us more deftly within our defined physical world? Let’s hope so…we love Iron Man!
