Last week PSFK offered a sneak peek of cleaning product maker Method’s temporary shop in Soho, NYC. Today we’ve got some more information and new photos of the space to share. The shop is built around the theme of ‘Detox New York’ and represents Method’s ongoing efforts to change the way people clean. The company believes that harsh chemicals and toxins have no place in your home, your body, or your cleaning products.
The shop is staffed with product experts who can answer questions about Method’s cleaning products and offer tips on their use. If you are feeling particularly guilty about all that chlorine bleach or ammonia you use to clean, Method has set up a cleaning confessional photo-booth to capture your “dirty little secret”.
The front half of the shop is set up to try and shop the product line. Method provides special bags that customers can use to create their own mix and match cleaning kits. Method also is offering a ‘toxic turn-in’ program where you can bring in your old cleaning products and you’ll get a free Method product in return. They will properly dispose of all the old products.
The back of the space is set up as an event space. On select evenings Method will feature programs ranging from an organic cocktail class to eco-craft parties hosted by green living expert Danny Seo.
The shop will stay open thru June 7th.
