I gotta think David Archuleta is exactly what the creators and producers of this show had hoped for when they started. He's like a modern Davey Jones. If he had three other Monkees with him, who knows? But David Cook did win b/c of his authenticity. The public was able to envelop themselves in his story. They saw themselves - a twisted Cindarella story - in his unexpected and emotional ride to the winners' circle. I hope Cook stays true to who he is and doesn't end up a by-product of the fame machine.
