Transforming Shoes

Transforming Shoes

By Dan Gould on June 9, 2008

USA Today has a roundup of innovative shoe designs that are all able to be transformed or customized in some way. Camileon Heel’s new adjustable shoe was inspired by a child’s Transformers toy. It features a handy design that turns high heels to low heels, lowering the shoes from 3.25 inches to 1.5 inches. The heel collapses and tucks away under the arch. Also of note is the Inchworm children’s shoe that can grow in half size increments with the click of a button. Parents love that the shoes can keep up with their kids rapid growth, and that the useful life of the shoes is extended by 3-6 months.
