Curated Music Buying From 14 Tracks

By Dave Pinter on July 15, 2008

The rise of digital music distribution has made record pools for dj’s and even the compilation album all but extinct. There’s so many choices available online of sites to buy music from. And all that choice means it takes longer and longer to sift through all the new releases to find the good stuff.

UK record shop Boomkat recently launched 14 Tracks.com which offers a curated selection of 14 new and classic tracks based around a theme for a flat price or as individual tracks. So far they’ve got about ten collections on offer with themes ranging from ‘deviant disco’ and ‘destination:Tokyo!’ to a soundtrack ‘for a summer in the city’.

The site is easy to use and each collection has it’s own Mac OS inspired icon which is used for navigation at the bottom of the page.
