Modern Brazilian Nursery School

Modern Brazilian Nursery School

By Dave Pinter on July 17, 2008

We’re featuring another example of an innovative learning center, this time a nursery school in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bercario Primetime is the first nursery school in Brazil to be built for newborns to children 3 years old. The project is the work of Marcio Kogan Arquiteto who was challenged with developing a safe and comfortable environment. The building also had to stimulate their development. There’s a theatre with a small stage where the children can preform, an outdoor courtyard garden with a cottage house, spaces with large yellow rubber mats perfect for reading or napping on. The architects allowed for lots of natural light to enter the building. They also incorporated hits of bright yellow and orange which are naturally stimulating colors.
