Sun Power: Windows Can Generate Electricity

Window panes that generate power via solar power are becoming a reality. This makes so much sense, as there’s all that wasted sun energy pouring through those glass panes all day. Nihon Telecommunications Systems has released some pricey ($1,900 per square foot) but useful solar windows. At maximum levels, these can generate up to 70 watts per square meter, which is enough to power up small personal devices or a computer. Power is drawn off the windows through USB ports.
