Thrillist turned us onto TravelSkoot, a Google Maps-based travel guide/service offering user-generated city guides. Currently in beta, the site features a small but growing collection of theme-based guides to cities ranging from New York (where you can take the “Gossip Girl” tour) to Atlanta (for a day of Southern Food and BBQ). Users can save guides, have point-to-point directions sent to their email/mobile phones, and make suggestions and comment on others’ guides.
