Shazam is a free service for the iPhone that lets you identify the name of any song within audible range of the phone (in a movie, at a store, at a club). We just tried it here at the PSFK office, and it’s mind blowingly fast and accurate, even with instrumental music. All you need to do is run the program, hold the phone near the audio source, press the tag button and within seconds you will get the results back. Shazam will give you all the information about the track, the album artwork and even relevant Youtube videos if they exist. This magic program will also provide an iTunes link and the track can be bought on the spot.

Between this and the Remote app, which is unbelievably useful for me, I am blown away by the iPhone update. Nice work Steveo.
P.S. The beer and lightsaber apps makes for a few good laughs as well.
