Event: NYC’s Electronic Music & Innovation Festival

by Jeff Squires

Over the second weekend of September, New York will see a slightly different type of music festival. The Minitek Electronic Music Festival will present an array of electronic music artists spanning the genre as well as introduce innovations in the forms of art, science and technology.

Over three days and two different locations, one outdoor and one indoor, the event will feature experimental art and technology installations throughout the day while visual artists will take advantage the night to showcase the latest in projection art.

The festival will also introduce progressive technologies such as RFID wristbands for participants - although, they haven’t revealed how the wristbands will be utilized yet.
