Hand Drawn Map Association

by Christine Huang

BoingBoing points us to a neat project: the Hand Drawn Map Association, an online collection of user-submitted cartography of places big and small from around the world. The maps range from quick scribbles of neighborhoods to detailed drawings of cities, sometimes accompanied by a story explaining how and why the map was made. Th HDMA allows anyone to submit their own found or made maps, and they’ll pay for postage if you send the real paper copy because they find it “so much more interesting and fun to archive.”
