SAM Recyclable Electric Car
Driving is going to get personal sized, and extremely efficient with the introduction of Cree’s SAM electric car. The compact vehicle fits two passengers and runs on an emission free 15 kilowatt electric motor. The SAM fully charges in 6 hours, and is 90% recyclable. If all that’s not impressive enough, it also converts kinetic energy from braking, rolling to a stop and going downhill into even more juice to power the engine. 500 cars are slated to be released this September, and 5,000 more in 2009.
