Banking in on Catchphrases

It appears catchphrases are a bankable item these days.  Former Australian Idol judge Mark Holden has sold his trademark Idol catchphrase, “Touchdown!” to David Hasselhoff for a cool $10,000.  The ‘Hoff’ plans to use Holden’s peppy line in the latest season of America’s Got Talent.  The one condition Hasselhoff made on the deal was the entire payment be donated to charity.  On the exchange Holden quipped:

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but a cheque would be better.”
