Sometime back in the eighties, Consumer Reports ran a bottled taste test using NYC tap water as the control -- and it won! Of course, it's easy to criticize bottled water if you live in NYC where the tap water is pretty delicious. Here in SoCal it's an entirely different story, sadly.
