Over the past few months, PSFK has been exploring the notion of ‘play.’ One of our main findings has been that ‘at play’ can mean many things to many people. When we asked our readers to submit photos that reflected the idea of play, we were inundated with images of all sorts; people playing music, people skipping rocks, people lounging by themselves in a field, people spinning fire, and people sharing a moment with loved ones. With this broad concept of play established, we thought we’d take it a step further with a video series bringing these various interpretations of ‘at play’ to life.
And what better place to start than with Charlie Todd, the founder of Improv Everywhere. PSFK met up with Charlie in his Chelsea apartment to find out how he tries to inject a dose of playfulness into everyday people’s lives through his public stunts.
